This weekend was truly one of my favorite this Summer thus far! ~ Chris & I ventured 2 hours towards NYC to Stamford, CT (right near New Canaan, CT where I grew up!) to where one of my best and oldest friends and her husband live. We spent the weekend on the water, by the water, in the water & enjoying the waters' view all weekend!

On our way back to Mystic, CT Chris & I stopped by IKEA in New Haven and picked up some new goodies for our house & then went fishing with the Fiftal Fam & caught an outrageous about of Porgie/Porgy (sp?) fish!! We kept the huge suckers in which we are making fish nuggets out of tonight for dinner! There's nothing more satisfying than catching your own dinner! nom nom nommmm

This past weekend was truly awesome. We did a whole lot of NOTHING for once and sat by the pool for 3 days in a row and slept past 8am....it was fantastic! 

For the 4th celebrations, we went out to dinner to some of our favorite places, went on our boat and watched fireworks, did a little fishing & hung out with lots of family & friends! <3

The Proper Boyfriend Jeans

Boyfriend jeans are one of my favorite Spring/Summer jeans! They're super comfy, and literally look like you borrowed them from your fella - 

My favorite way to style boyfriend jeans is to wear heels of your choice and a girly top to balance the baggier pants. I paired my jeans with nude heels from Victorias Secret & a polkadot peplum top I picked up at TJ MAXX before our Mexico wedding! Peplum is the best to wear when you need your waist to be defined, especially when wearing baggier pants! 

ps- I am wearing a brown belt which isn't pictured because I buy my boyfriend jeans one size too big for extra comfort!...belts are definitely needed then! 

While wearing this outfit, Chris & I went to one of our favorite restaurants which I speak of quite frequently! FORDS LOBSTERS in NOANK, CT. It has the BEST peel & eat shrimp!! <3

We go there literally once a week or 2 with my parents, it's amazing because its BYOB and has very affordable and super delicious food. It's extremely casual, but who doesn't like to dress up a little bit when going out to dinner, right?!
