Happy Monday kids! I'm in downtown at our shop hanging out today & doing research on some pretty exciting plans & things that are coming up in the near future! :-) *stay tuned, obvii*..
We had an awesome weekend, and lucked out with the weather big time! This has been the strangest June to date.. too much rain! :-( BUT it was gorgeous and i wasn't sick and feeling shitting for once so I got to enjoy the beach and sit out by the pool a bit. Very relaxing weekend indeed!
Yesterday was Father's Day and we had a huge family BBQ at my parents house to celebrate Chris' and my amazing Father! Our family time is the best, it's absolutely priceless!
We did a ton of errand running/a bit of shopping & stocking up on all sorts of things for our house this weekend...it was awesome. Don't you just love when you have new and fresh products, snacks & food in your house? It's the best! =we love BJ's ! haha
Sorry for the slow blogging and lack of posts this weekend. Usually from Thursday-Sunday we are running all over the place and sometimes I don't even check my emails or touch my computer all weekend! Crazy, right? haha Considering my life and business are run thru the computer, I try hard to separate real life and the moments you can't record or ever get back if you miss it because you're too wrapped up in technology...it's important, don't you think?
1. Last Wednesday was icky out and I was snugged and cozy/slightly bad-ass in my new custom studded
MAYA LUNE crew neck sweatshirt! It is the softest sweatshirt ever, but has a bit of shoulder flare, what's not to like?

2. A common question I get asked is, "what are you're daily go-to jewelry pieces?" Well! to answer your questions, I definitely do have a few pieces i wear pretty much every day, and have been wearing for years! I add things and change up my jewelry every day but i certainly have my favorite staple items!
My left hand on my ring finger (yes yes it's a place holder until i'm engaged :-) i always have on my "friends forever" sterling ring I have with my best friend Emily. I got one for her and one for myself when we were 16 i believe! My finger is so used to wearing it, I feel naked without it. She still wears hers too! :-) On top of that i wear a diamond band my Louisey (my mom!) gave to me when i turned 21 a few years ago. It was one of the first major purchases of jewelry she got for herself in her 20's when she came to New York from Norway..so it's very special and definitely one of my favorite pieces of jewelry!
On my left middle finger I wear, (& never take off) the first piece of jewelry my boyfriend Chris got me :-) It's a tiny little snake ring. Very precious to me and super fun at the same time!
My right hand always has a basic plain sterling silver ring I got a year or so ago at a jewelry store near my home town, AK DASHER. They have a lot of cool and inexpensive jewelry! I opted for a simple ring to take the place of my favorite tiny aztec ring that somehow i lost and got flushed down the toilet! :-( haha Saddd day!...
Next to that on my right hand ring finger I usually wear my MICHELLE CHANG skull ring! She is awesome and makes such unique jewelry. <3
My arm swag honestly changes every day ACCEPT for 99% of the time i wear the 2 Tiffany's bracelets i have legit had since i was 13 and 15 years old! CRAZY. They are still alive and well, and are definite staple arm swag pieces.
3. Last Friday we took a hookie day off from work and went to the beach. It was unbelievably gorgeous out. Not a cloud in the sky!
4. Since a lot of my family lives in Mexico, we go there basically every year to visit them and have a holiday away from the cold Winters here on the East Coast! We went this past February with everyone and it was the best trip we had ever taken. Mostly because Chris was there, but it was so relaxing and of course amazing to see our family. SO after this trip, we vowed to have a "Mexico night" every 2 weeks as a family at our fave local Mexican restaurant, Margaritas in Mystic, CT.

I was wearing Jbrand shorts when i tried on my new top in the picture, but when we went out to dinner I opted for dark blue jean skinnies with white wedges instead of shorts.
8. We were grilling swordfish and asparagus. There was a TINYY and HUGE beast of a gus in the mix! haha Extreme contrasts are awesome.

13. Family badminton! We got it for my Dad for Fathers Day! haha. It was hilarious watching our parents play. I also discovered that I have been calling it "badmington" my whole life thanks to my Norwegian mother. Thanks Louisey.

15. OOTD: Today I am wearing shorts I have literally had since my Sophomore year of High School...that's scary. Anyways, i found them at my parents house and decided why not!

Time for me to eat a snack and begin contemplating whether or not to go to the gym tonight...I usually opt for eating cheese and drinking wine with Chris & then going in the hot tub. Sounds more appealing than sweating next to strangers, no?
