Hellooo!!! I swear i'm still alive ... :-)
Sorry for the lack of updates the past few weeks have been a bit rough - i've been pretty sick on and off and have been dealing with all that and not able to be on my computer much at all. But i'm feeling a bit better now, and i'm alive most importantly - SO now I can finally pick up where we left off.

Camping in Saco was soo much fun ! It was such a beautiful river that runs half in New Hampshire and half in Maine which is pretty cool! We started off on a Friday and canoed 10 miles, found a camping spot and set up for the night. It was just us and 2 of our friends Dave & Glori !
(to camp out you have to find a place where you can make a fire on a sandy part of a beach, which wasn't the easiest thing to find considering there were a ton of loud college kids there :-/ )
Chris woke up early on Saturday morning and went fishing from right in front of our campsite - I haven't seen him that happy since last time we wen't fishing, haha.
We then packed up all our stuff and canoed for 5 or so more miles & went swimming and fishing along the way until we found another good spot to camp for the 2nd night. We got super lucky with a totally private and quiet spot on a little hill surrounded by big trees and lots of spare branches for fire wood!
Mind you - when you canoe down this river, you have to fit everything you need for 3 days with you in your canoe.. needless to say our canoe was full of water, snacks, our tent, and a change of clothes, & that's about it !
We were super lucky with beautiful weather the first 2 days, but the last day it was a bit drizzly and over cast.
We completed our 19 mile canoe trip very happy that we did it and definitely wanting to canoe some more. It was so peaceful and beautiful (aside from college kids yelling SACOOOOOO every time you passed their camp sites along the way, haha) !
After 3 days in the wilderness & sleeping on the ground, we were pretty excited to head home and take a real shower !
