Sick week. (the good & bad)

^ Wedding band!!!!! <3 <3 <3

^ My aunt & uncles ring boxes from 1963! (my Dad was the best man and kept them all this time!)

^ My wedding garters!

^ Cashew eye.

^ Sick kids.

As you now know - Chris and I are still pretty sick. Unfortunately it's taking way longer to feel like a complete human again. This week has been a total blur of what feels like one long awful day full of sniffles, coughing, tissues and movie watching :-/
We finally went grocery shopping today and ran some errands which felt nice to get out of the house and at least pull ourselves together enough to be out in the real world.

Here are some random photo's from the past week. FINALLY - a pic of my beautiful wedding band!!! We purchased it last Sunday when we picked up my wedding dress in Newport, RI and it is being sent thru the mail and SHOULD be here by today or Monday at the latest... I can't wait !!! The anticipation of seeing it again and trying it on again is killing me softly...haha
At least you can now all see what it looks like! It is called an "insert" wedding band. It's where you put your own engagement ring inside the wedding band which makes it one big ring! It's definitely quite a beaute and a large honker you can spot from far away hahah.. i guess thats what made me love it!
We are also going to have a simple wedding band made for more "every day" wear after the Mexico wedding. But this will be the ring that Chris gives to me when we say our vows ! <3 <3 <3 YAY!

I also purchased my garters for the Mexico wedding! I got a pair of them, not sure which one to wear and throw on my wedding day and which one to keep quite yet?.. all i know is they are beautiful and handmade from where else?.. ETSY!

The other day we were trying to figure out what we would put our rings in for our Mexico ceremony - some sort of pillow? no. box? maybe. pocket? risky.
So my Dad out of nowhere told us he had the boxes from his sister (my aunt Kaki - who lives in Mexico!) and my uncles' wedding from Tiffany's in 1963 ! They don't make things like that anymore. They are so special and pretty cool - so I think we'll be using them for our own wedding and make it a tradition to reuse family members ring boxes ! Very cool :-)
